EITS Volunteers

Our Volunteers...

...are the lifeblood of Eyes in the Sky.

EITS 34 volunteers are community members from all walks of life. Some have never worked with birds before, some have extensive experience. In addition to caring for the birds, they assist with programs, lessons, and school field trips.

Many of our volunteers have been with us for many years. They volunteer one or two afternoons per week, and our numbers have just increased. This makes it possible for each of our birds to get quality outdoor time and personal attention seven days a week.

Chris Mersey (EITS Volunteer since 2012). Chris is trained to handle raptors and has been working mostly with our Peregrine Falcon, Kisa. Chris is in a long term physiotherapy for Kisa who can no longer fly due to a bullet which...
Zoe Stevens (EITS Volunteer since 2009).  Zoe is Red-tailed Hawk Ivan's favorite person.  Zoe takes Ivan on field trips to special places one to three times per week, depending on her work schedule with her Landscape business.
